About Nottingham CCE

Now in it’s 41st year of existence the Nottingham Branch of Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann is still going from strength to strength tirelessly promoting Irish Music, Song and Dance. The branch regularly holds sessions and workshops alongside weekly music, dance and language classes.

The junior musicians regularly take part in the Fleadh Cheoil competitions. As well as many competing individually the branch also boasts a junior Ceili Band who last year after a stunning performance at The All Britain Fleadh, qualified to compete in the All Ireland Fleadh Cheoil in Cavan. Taking part in the Fleadh provides the students with invaluable experiences and gives them the opportunity to meet and play with musicians from all over the world. We wish them every continued success.

Musicians from Nottingham C.C.E. regularly take part in fundraising activities and can be seen at the forefront of the annual St Patricks Day Parade in the city centre joined by our current Chairman Mr Jim Hickey and our committee members. See our Facebook page. >
